Serbia looks forward to intensifying cooperation with Azerbaijan in various fields
The software industry and modern technologies are among the most promising sectors of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia.
Former Serbian President Boris Tadic made the remarks in an interview with Trend.
According to him, Serbia expects to intensify cooperation with Azerbaijan in various fields, such as education, agriculture and the pharmaceutical industry.
"There are many talented people in our countries. We must cooperate in the field of knowledge exchange within the framework of our human resources," Tadic said.
The ex-president noted the potential for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia in the direction of transition to environmentally friendly energy, as well as within the framework of the traditional gas industry.
"Azerbaijan will become a much more important player in the European energy market. With the help of TANAP [Trans-Anatolian Pipeline] and TAP [Trans-Adriatic Pipeline], Azerbaijan can ensure the energy security of the market and increase its energy exports. Serbia has not yet concluded an agreement [on gas], but I hope the country will start receiving Azerbaijani gas in the coming years," Tadic added.
