SOCAR, Gazprom may create CNG network for commercial shipments
Azerbaijan’s state-run oil company SOCAR and Russia's Gazprom exchanged proposals and views on the creation and operation of a network of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) for commercial cargo on the North-South transport corridor.
The statement was made by the SOCAR Petroleums Deputy General Director for Innovations, Elnur Mustafayev, at the All-Russian Gas Engine Forum held in Moscow on April 21-22, Report informs.
At the forum, Mustafayev addressed a report "New paths of international cooperation: market prospects and transport corridors", dedicated to the prospects for the development of gas infrastructure within the North-South transport corridor.
In addition, the prospects for creating international transport corridors for natural gas, including the development of the Russia-Azerbaijan-Iran corridor, were discussed at the event in Moscow.
