Some 255 relocated to Istanbul from disaster areas
Approximately 255 people, including victims and volunteers, were flown to Istanbul by military plane from disaster areas following the earthquakes with the epicentre in Kahramanmaras.
The Turkish Air Force cargo board type 400M from Adana was met by military personnel at Ataturk Airport, Anadolu reports.
Earthquake victims were sent to areas where housing was allocated for them.
On February 6, two earthquakes with a magnitude of more than 7 points occurred in the south-east of Türkiye (at 04.17 local time - 7.7 points and at 13.24 – 7.6 points).
The death toll as a result of a devastating earthquake in southeastern Türkiye has exceeded 24,600 people.
The devastating earthquake was also felt in neighbouring countries, including Syria, Lebanon, the TRNC, Greek Cyprus and Iraq.
