Trilateral parliamentary cooperation deepens among Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Türkiye photo
Speakers of the parliaments of Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Türkiye — Sahiba Gafarova, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and Numan Kurtulmuş — met in Lahore with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to discuss expanding cooperation across multiple spheres.
According to domestic media, the meeting was marked by a shared commitment to deepening inter-parliamentary collaboration and reinforcing bilateral ties among the three countries.
During the talks, the sides emphasised that the longstanding friendship and solidarity between Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Türkiye are rooted in common cultural, religious, and spiritual values. They noted that the close political relations and personal understanding between the heads of state continue to play a decisive role in advancing cooperation, further uniting the peoples of the three nations.
Particular attention was drawn to the outcomes of the recent trilateral meeting of parliamentary speakers in Islamabad. The participants stressed that such platforms — along with reciprocal visits and coordinated activities in international parliamentary organisations — significantly contribute to strengthening institutional dialogue and strategic partnership among the three countries.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for a broad exchange of views on the future trajectory of bilateral and trilateral engagement, as well as other issues of shared interest.
