Turkish defence minister arrives in Iğdır province bordering Azerbaijan PHOTO

Turkish National Defence Minister Yaşar Güler arrived in the eastern province of Iğdır bordering Azerbaijan on December 31.

The press service of the Turkish Defence Ministry said that the defence minister is accompanied by Chief of General Staff Metin Gürak and commanders of the branches of troops, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Güler visited the administration of the governor of Iğdır, where he was briefed on the situation in the region.

Then, the minister inspected the military units of the province.

Iğdır is a province in the far eastern part of Türkiye, located along its border with Azerbaijan. It shares a border with Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic to the east.
