Türkiye closes airspace to Pashinyan's plane

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told 24TV that the country has closed its airspace for the flights of Armenian VIPs to third countries.

He said this also applies to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's plane, Lenta.ru reported.

"Every day there were flights through Turkish airspace. Now we have closed it down. Closed also for VIPs, no offense only the speaker of the Armenian parliament came to the PABSEC meeting [in Ankara], we hosted the summit, so it was impossible to close [the airspace] for a member of the organisation," the minister said.
