Ukraine thanks Azerbaijan for humanitarian assistance
Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko has thanked Azerbaijan for the humanitarian aid, which was sent to the country on February 20.
“We feel the support provided by the Azerbaijani government to our country. We remember Azerbaijan’s assistance in eliminating the consequences of the explosion at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station,” Klymenko said at a meeting with Azerbaijani Ambassador to this country Seymur Mardaliyev, Caliber.Az reports.
The exchange of experience between Azerbaijan and Ukraine on humanitarian demining was discussed at the meeting.

“Azerbaijan knows from its own experience what a mine threat is. Therefore, the skills of your specialists will be useful to Ukraine. I thank Azerbaijan for the donation of a mechanized mine clearance vehicle. It will be involved in demining agricultural lands,” said Klymenko.
Issues of combating illegal arms trafficking and crime were also discussed at the meeting. “I hope our countries will continue cooperation and strengthen interaction on security issues,” the minister concluded.
To recap, the last batch of electrical equipment intended to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Ukraine was sent from the Sumgait Technological Park on February 20.
A convoy consisting of 25 cargo trucks is transporting more than 670,000 meters of electrical cables and 26 sets of transformers to Ukraine.
Previous shipments of humanitarian aid totalling $7.6 million were sent to Ukraine on October 30, November 21, December 8, 2023, and January 11, 2024.
