Ukrainian military receives Turkish TRLG-230, SUNGUR missiles
The Ukrainian Defence Forces have received Rocketsan TRLG-230 precision-guided missiles.
These surface-to-surface missiles entered the Ukrainian Defence Forces in the summer, analysts of the Oryx portal, who track the weapons that Ukraine receives, said, according to Ukraine's news website mil.in.ua.
It is currently unknown whether Ukraine acquired this weapon independently or by means of military assistance.
TRLG-230 is a surface-to-surface missile. It can be launched from the ROKETSAN MCL (Multi-Caliber Launcher) artillery system and other platforms with compatible interfaces.
In addition to high-precision TRLG-230-230 missiles for MLRS, Türkiye has handed over SUNGUR air-to-air missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, according to gagadget.com.
We are talking about a batch of more than 100 pieces. SUNGUR missiles will be installed on Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles. Thanks to this, Ukrainian UAVs will be able to shoot down enemy air targets, including Iranian kamikaze drones Shahed 136.
SUNGUR missiles boast the Imagining Infrared Seeker (IIR) technology. With this technology, the probability of hitting the target is increased. The missiles are developed by the Roketsan company. By the way, in addition to Bayraktar TB2, SUNGUR missiles are also planned to be installed on the Akinci UAV.
