This time, he commented on the statement by the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine (NSDC), Oleksiy Danilov, which claimed that Ukraine would hit the Crimean bridge once the opportunity arose.

“The threat is that if Ukrainians think that we are hitting their locations, then they (Ukrainians) can hit the Crimean bridge. And whether they can hit or not - the "Moskva" warship proves that they can. Sorry, but drowning the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet is not a joke,” Girkin.

“Of course, I'm not saying, in a good way, that a ship of this class cannot and should not float alone without an escort of several frigates and corvettes that would cover it with their air defence. It was alone in its position, judging by what I know. Nevertheless, they sunk it with several anti-ship missiles, at least two, according to my knowledge. So, theoretically, with the help of dear Western partners, the Ukrainians may well launch a missile on the Crimean bridge after some time. Moreover, whether ours will hit the bridges or not, they will still do it sooner or later. They will strike when they consider it possible, achievable, and favourable for themselves.”

“If someone in the Kremlin hopes that if we do not touch them, then they will not touch us, too, no, they will surely touch us and proactively when they consider it necessary and favourable for themselves. And by that time it will be even too late and inconvenient to answer,” Strelkov-Girkin said on his Telegram channel.
