Uzbekistan, Türkiye keen to strengthen comprehensive strategic partnership

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan on April 9.

The leaders of the two countries congratulated each other on the holiday of Eid al-Fitr, which is sacred for the entire Muslim community, Uz Daily reports.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Türkiye expressed sincere wishes for peace, well-being and prosperity to the people of Uzbekistan and Türkiye.

Issues of further development and strengthening of a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to increasing cooperation in various areas, such as political dialogue, trade, economic and investment relations, as well as cultural and humanitarian exchange.

The leaders discussed plans to promote joint projects of leading enterprises and companies, as well as expand practical cooperation at the regional level.

The schedule of upcoming events was also discussed, including the holding of the next meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council at the highest level.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Türkiye also exchanged views on current regional issues.
