Ambassador highlights Pakistan's commitment to enhanced economic co-op with Azerbaijan
Pakistan reaffirms its commitment to fostering mutually beneficial economic ties with Azerbaijan, aiming for further deepening of collaboration.
Ambassador Bilal Hayee of Pakistan expressed this sentiment during an event commemorating Pakistan's National Day, Report informs.
"In the past three years, the trade turnover between our nations has more than doubled. However, there is still ample room for growth, and concerted efforts are required to fully tap into our cooperation potential," Ambassador Hayee said.
He recalled the significant visit of Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to Baku in June 2023, during which extensive discussions were held with President Ilham Aliyev.
"Both leaders concurred on the necessity to broaden cooperation across various sectors, particularly in energy, trade, investment, and tourism," Hayee emphasized.
Highlighting the progress, Ambassador Hayee mentioned the establishment of direct weekly flights between Baku and major Pakistani cities, facilitating enhanced connectivity and exchanges.
"Our ongoing cooperation at the highest levels continues to evolve and strengthen with each passing day," concluded the ambassador, underscoring the enduring commitment of both nations to deepen their strategic partnership.
