ANAMA: Mine clearance in Azerbaijan exceeds 2,000 hectares PHOTO

Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has cleared more than 2,000 hectares of land and neutralised thousands of explosive hazards across territories liberated from Armenian occupation.
Between April 6 and April 12, ANAMA teams detected and neutralised 144 anti-personnel mines, 47 anti-tank mines, and 1,661 items of unexploded ordnance in multiple districts, including Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khojavand, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, Gazakh, Zangilan, as well as in the city of Khankandi, Caliber.Az reports per the agency.
During the same period, a total of 2,052.5 hectares of land were cleared of mines and explosive remnants, ANAMA said.
