Archbishop Ajapahian: Armenia's army is defeated and crushed
Archbishop Mikael Ajapahian has said that the army of Armenia is defeated and crushed as he was interviewed by the local media.
"Karabakh is lost to us, and cherishing vain hopes that we will get Karabakh back is a great self-deception. Because Karabakh is irretrievably lost. And whoever comes to power must tell this bitter truth. And if he says that he will come and return Karabakh, he is blatantly lying. No one will be able to return Karabakh,” Ajapahian said, Caliber.Az reports.
"The number one problem for Armenians is the inability to get rid of emotions. For example, Sardarapat (Sardarabad - Ed.). Sardarapat is a disgrace. Why disgrace? Because it is the only successful case in a thousand years. And the great Armenian nation has one successful case in a thousand years of history and it is a disgrace. But we are such an emotional people that we made this disgrace a milestone.
Armenians have everything wrong, the understanding of victory is wrong, the understanding of defeat is wrong, the understanding of the state is wrong, the understanding of the church is wrong. So the objective reality is that Armenians are terribly bad. I'm a pessimist because I see the worst, I've been working for 40 years with this nation and I haven't registered even a 0.4 per cent success rate. We have a very idealistic view of the Armenian people and in general the Armenian people have a lot of misconceptions about themselves. They think they are the perfect people, but in reality they are the most shameful, the sickest and the people most in need of treatment.
Nikol Pashinyan did one right thing, he showed us our reality, but we don't want to reconcile with this reality. We say no, this is a conspiracy. If it's a conspiracy, isn't there a National Security Service? Yes, we had good officers, generals, but our army is defeated and crushed. However, we don't want to accept this. Here Pashinyan says that 50 per cent ran away from the army, were exempted from service for various reasons. Is Pashinyan to blame here? Did Nikol arrange this?" the Archbishop underlined.
