Azerbaijan discloses amount of funds spent on demining liberated lands in 2021

In 2021, about 98 million manats ($57.6 million) were spent on demining the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from Armenian occupation.

The country’s Finance Minister Samir Sharifov made the statement at today's meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship during the discussion of the bill on the execution of the state budget for 2021, according to Report.

Sharifov said that 105.8 million manats ($62.2 million) were spent from the state budget of Azerbaijan last year (including funds worth 97.6 million manats ($57.4 million) allocated for the reconstruction and restoration of the liberated territories) to clear the liberated territories of Azerbaijan from unexploded ordnance and landmines.
