Azerbaijan, EU discuss Prague meeting, regional peace, stability
On October 10, 2022, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov had a telephone conversation with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Joseph Borrel.
During the telephone conversation, the parties discussed the results of the quadrilateral meeting held on October 6 in Prague between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, French President Emmanuel Macron, EU Council President Charles Michel and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, as well as the regional situation, APA reports.
The High Representative of the European Union Borrel informed about the preparatory work for the mission of the European Union. Borrel highly appreciated the results of the Prague meeting, noting the EU's commitment to creating peace and stability in the region.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in turn, brought to attention the expectations from the Prague meeting in terms of contribution to peace in the region. He also stressed that during the Geneva meeting, the elements of the peace treaty were presented to Armenia, which is important to start work on the delimitation of borders in the near future.
During the telephone conversation, the sides exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
