Azerbaijan may provide tax benefits to companies operating in Karabakh
The Azerbaijani government is considering the possibility of providing tax benefits to taxpayers operating in the territories liberated from occupation, as well as in the field of agricultural processing.
Report informs this with reference to the Ministry of Economy.
According to information, as part of the discussion of changes in tax legislation with public associations representing the interests of entrepreneurs, a meeting was held between representatives of the State Tax Service and the Public Council under the Ministry.
Nijat Imanov, Head of the Main Department of Tax Policy of the State Tax Service, has made a presentation on the topic “Draft Law on Amendments to the Tax Code, prepared as part of the fiscal policy for the next year.”
Members of the Public Council were provided with detailed information on the main directions of changes in tax legislation for the next year, as well as on the positive results of reforms carried out over the past periods.
N. Imanov noted that in order to create an investment climate, which is one of the main areas of change and reduce the tax burden to stimulate local production, it is planned to provide tax incentives to taxpayers operating in the liberated territories, as well as in the field of agricultural processing.
The meeting participants were also told about the work to reduce the tax burden through social benefits in the package of changes, maintaining the country's position in international rankings, as well as changing a number of administrative regulations.
