Azerbaijan's ambassador to US highlights relations between Baku, Washington PHOTO

Azerbaijan's Ambassador to the United States, Khazar Ibrahim, took part on April 5 in the first event of the "Block of Ambassadors" of the Turkish Culture Club of the American University (TCCAU).

Report informs that the event's primary purpose was to inform the participants about the history of Azerbaijan, achievements and plans for the future, and to hold discussions on bilateral relations between the US and Azerbaijan, including the role of Azerbaijan in regional and global issues.

The event began with an opening speech by the founder and president of the club, Nural Aliyev, after which Ambassador Ibrahim was invited to the podium to speak.

In his speech, the ambassador noted that Azerbaijan is currently pursuing a policy in the field of energy and communications, spoke about the role in ensuring the energy security of Europe, the work on the transition to alternative energy sources amidst the challenges associated with global climate change, and regional projects, the initiator which he is, the infrastructure projects implemented in the direction of turning the country into a transit between East and West.

He also informed the participants about the work being done to normalize relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, hold discussions over the mentioned issues and replied to the questions of the participants.
