Azerbaijan state-run oil company chief on digital transformation
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan SOCAR is doing a lot of work on digital transformation.
SOCAR Acting President Rovshan Najaf said this on Saturday during a special session "The Path to Zero Emissions: Developing the Green Energy Potential of the Liberated Territories" in Shusha as part of the Baku Energy Week, Trend reports.
“SOCAR, as part of its strategy until 2035, plans to transform into an energy company. We open a new era in the history of our company. Despite this strategy, oil and gas production will continue. I would also like to emphasize that our company has its own representative offices in Türkiye and Georgia. Large-scale digital transformation work is underway there, and these works are also being carried out in our country,” Najaf said.
He underlined that all the goals set for SOCAR - both in transition to the digital environment and in ensuring energy security - will be achieved.
