Azerbaijan to open DOST Agency branch with special status in Shusha
A branch of the Azerbaijani Agency for Sustainable and Operative Social Provision (DOST Agency) with a special status will be established in Shusha.
The announcement was made by DOST Agency Board Chairman Farid Mammadov while delivering a report on the Agency’s five-year activity, Trend reports.
"For 5 years, services have been provided to about 1.7 million citizens. By 2025, a total of 17 regional DOST centres, DOST branches in 55 districts, as well as Smart DOST service points in several regions of the country are planned to be opened in Azerbaijan," he added.
The DOST Agency, operating under the Azerbaijani Labour and Social Protection of Population Ministry was established by the Decree No 229 of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev dated August 9, 2018. The Agency started to operate on May 9, 2019 - the same day as the opening of the first DOST centre.
The mission of the DOST Agency is to improve the well-being of the population, increase public care for vulnerable groups of people, implement innovative solutions to ensure this and achieve citizen satisfaction with such steps.
