Azerbaijan, UK to discuss boosting investments

The Azerbaijani delegation headed by Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov has arrived in London to participate in the 5th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan, United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, which is scheduled for June 14.

The Energy Ministry of Azerbaijan said the meeting will consider the work done since the 4th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in May 2021, discuss further improvement of the business environment, increase in investments, cooperation on energy transition, digital economy, infrastructure, agriculture, and other areas, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Energy Ministry's statement issued on June 13.

The co-chairs of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission between the two countries are Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov from the Azerbaijani side, and Export Minister Mike Freer from the British side.
