Azerbaijani Army marks second anniversary of anti-terrorist operation PHOTO
On September 19, the Azerbaijani Army held commemorative events marking the second anniversary of the anti-terrorist operation, in line with a plan approved by the Minister of Defence.
The events were aimed at fostering patriotism while further strengthening the morale and fighting spirit of the armed forces.
According to the Ministry of Defence, cited by Caliber.Az, the commemorations began with a minute of silence in honour of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan’s freedom, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. The national anthem was then performed.
The program included screenings of documentary films and video materials, along with exhibitions of photographs and books dedicated to the Patriotic War and the anti-terrorist operation.
Speakers at the gatherings highlighted the historic importance of the military operation conducted on September 19-20, 2023, describing it as a decisive mission that played a vital role in ensuring peace, stability, and security in the South Caucasus. They also underscored that the operation was highly praised by President Ilham Aliyev, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
The anniversary events placed particular emphasis on the historical significance of the successful anti-terrorist operation carried out under the leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief. It was stressed that the operation not only restored Azerbaijan’s constitutional order but also secured the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty across its entire territory.
