Azerbaijani FM hosts farewell meeting for outgoing Pakistani ambassador PHOTO

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has held a farewell meeting with Pakistani Ambassador to Azerbaijan Bilal Hayee, as he concludes his diplomatic tenure in the country.

A post by the Embassy of Pakistan on its official X account says that the ambassador expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Minister Bayramov for the support and cooperation extended to him throughout his tenure in Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports.

During the meeting, Ambassador Hayee reflected on the successful collaboration between Azerbaijan and Pakistan during his time in office and praised the warm diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The meeting focused on the current agenda and future prospects of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.

Minister Bayramov expressed gratitude to Ambassador Hayee for his significant contributions to the development of Azerbaijani-Pakistani relations and his professionalism throughout his tenure.

He also acknowledged the Ambassador’s arrival in Azerbaijan during the 44-day Patriotic War, thanking Pakistan for its unwavering support for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The meeting highlighted the mutual support shared by Azerbaijan and Pakistan within various regional and international organizations, including the UN, Non-Aligned Movement, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Economic Cooperation Organization, and Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia.

Bayramov extended his congratulations to Pakistan on its recent election to the UN Security Council for the 2025-2026 term.

Ambassador Hayee affirmed pride in having served as Pakistan’s envoy during a critical period for Azerbaijan and voiced hope for continued advancement in the relations between the two nations.
