Azerbaijani MP calls on ombudsman to prepare report on human rights in Armenia

Azerbaijani MP Elman Nasirov has said that if the Ombudsman Institute prepares an annual report on human rights and freedoms in Armenia, this will also benefit Azerbaijan’s activity.

Nasirov made the remarks during the discussion of the annual report of the Azerbaijani Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) at the plenary parliamentary session on March 7, Report informs.

He added that there is such a practice in some countries.

“A report on the deplorable human rights and freedoms in Armenia, and bringing this information to the attention of the international community would benefit us,” he said.
