Azerbaijani ombudswoman comments on Armenia's mine terror
Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsperson) of the Azerbaijan Republic Sabina Aliyeva has commented on Armenia’s recent mine terror.
Azerbaijani military personnel and civilians still die as a result of the mines planted by Armenia in the liberated Azerbaijani territories, the Ombudsperson's Office told APA.
The ombudsperson called on the international community to put pressure on Armenia to provide Azerbaijan with accurate maps of planted mines and to respond to mine terrorism committed by Armenia.
A Howo truck of the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads hit an anti-tank mine on the 58th kilometre of the Ahmadbayli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway, under construction on September 19, 2023 at about 03:34 (GMT+4). As a result of the terrorist attack, civilians and Agency employees, namely, 53-year-old Samir Sadixov and 58-year-old Farhad Guliyev died.
As a result of the terrorist attack committed by the Armenians in Khojavand, four police officers were killed. Among them are the employees of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry 29-year-old Asim Jamalzada, 36-year-old Ramil Shirinov, 32-year-old Seymur Mahmudov and Khazar Zamanov.
