Baku Int’l Sea Trade Port discusses contribution to COP29 goals with UN reps
The contribution of Baku International Sea Trade Port (BISTP) to the goals of COP29 and the implementation of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) was discussed by BISTP Chief Operations Officer Eugene Xie and UN representatives, as reported by Trend citing BISTP.
“BISTP hosted an event on ‘Promoting initiatives to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of Baku Port and COP29 opportunities. It was attended by the head of the UN Resident Coordinator's Office, Kanako Mabuchi, and UN Global Impact representative Samir Mammadov,” the port said.
The parties explored the potential for strengthening partnerships on Azerbaijan's Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) projects aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and other initiatives related to SDGs.
