Deputy PM: Azerbaijan Moldova's strategic partner
Moldova's Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spinu has described Azerbaijan as his country's strategic partner in terms of energy supplies diversification.
He made the statement at a conference within the framework of the Baku Energy Forum on June 2, Report informs.
"We have no resources, no oil, no gas, like many countries here, we are not such a big country and are not blessed with wind and solar energy, like, for example, Azerbaijan," Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister, Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Andrei Spinu said.
He noted that gas prices in Moldova have increased five times.
"This market collapse has hit the most vulnerable countries - Serbia, Moldova, which at one time did not do enough to diversify their energy resources," the deputy prime minister said.
