Ethnic Azerbaijani activist killed in Iran

Sepehr Ismaili, 22, has been killed during a protest in southern Azerbaijan [northwestern Iran] in the city of Qazvin.

The young man was shot dead by Iranian government forces, Caliber.az report, citing the Azad Iran Telegram channel.

Ismaili's relatives said the authorities had attacked his family to conceal the reason for the killing.
