European Political Community's first meeting kicks off in Prague
On October 6, the first meeting of the European Political Community will be held in Prague with the participation of the leaders of 27 EU countries and 17 non-EU states of the European continent.
The leaders of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Great Britain, Norway, Ukraine, Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Iceland, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Serbia and Switzerland are invited to the meeting, Caliber.Az reports citing Anadolu.
The initiative to create a European Political Community was launched in May by French President Emmanuel Macron. The European Political Community is planned to be formed not as a new organisation, but as a platform for political discussions.
On this new platform, it is planned to discuss important issues on the world agenda, such as the consequences of the war in Ukraine, security and stability on the European continent, energy, economy, trade, transport, investment and infrastructure.
Meetings will be held at the leadership level every six months.
