Foreign investments into Azerbaijan increased

From January to September 2022, a total amount of 10,154.4 million manats ($59,733.8 million) in foreign direct investments (FDI) have flown into the Azerbaijani economy, resulting in an increase by 4.6% from the previous year.

This was reported by the Report agency, citing new reports by the State Committee for Statistics which record that investments into the oil sector have fallen by 13.5%, while an increase of 18.1% was observed into the non-oil sector.

The majority of the FDIs went into the food production, service and construction industries, having received 5,993.9 million ($3,525.9 million; 59%), 3,500.4 million ($2,059.1 million; 34.5%) and 660,1 million manats ($3,883.0 million; 6.5%) respectively.
