Large-scale restoration and reconstruction of the water supply and sewerage system of the city of Khankendi is underway.
Former internally displaced persons returning to their hometown are recruited for work through various competitions and selection, Caliber.Az reports, citing the press service of the United Water Supply Service for Large Cities of Azerbaijan’s State Water Reserves Agency.
As the head of the Karabakh regional water utility department Mushfig Adigozalov said, after the liberation of the city, the water supply system damaged by the Armenians was restored.
“There are two water treatment complexes in Khankendi, their capacity is 8,000 cubic metres of water per day. Water is taken from three rivers and 10 subartesian wells. The Khankendi water supply system is also being restored; where there is a network, a round-the-clock water supply is provided,” the specialist emphasized.
