FSB detains Donetsk resident on espionage and terror incitement charges

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has detained a woman in Donetsk on suspicion of involvement in espionage and of publishing public calls to kill Russian servicemen, carry out strikes on Moscow, and document military equipment.

According to TASS, citing the FSB’s Public Relations Centre, the agency said it had put an end to the unlawful activities of a Donetsk resident allegedly linked to espionage and public incitement to terrorist acts.

“The Federal Security Service has suppressed the illegal activities of a Donetsk resident involved in espionage and public calls for terrorist activity. The woman was detained for publishing calls to kill Russian military personnel and to inflict fire strikes on the capital of Russia,” the Public Relations Centre said.

The FSB said it had established that the woman had independently made contact via Telegram with representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence and, acting on their instructions, carried out photographic documentation of military equipment belonging to the Russian Armed Forces.
