Great Return: 24 Azerbaijani families leave for Hadrut, Badara villages in Karabakh
The first group of former internally displaced persons has moved to the town of Hadrut in the Khojavend district and the village of Badara in the Khojaly district.
Thus, 10 families (42 people) are returning to Hadrut at this stage, while 14 families (55 people) are resettling in Badara, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
They had previously been temporarily accommodated in dormitories, sanatoriums, children’s camps, as well as unfinished and administrative buildings.
However, following the decisive victory of the Azerbaijani army in the Patriotic War under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev, former displaced persons have now been given the opportunity to return voluntarily, safely and with dignity to their homeland after 30 years.
The residents expressed their gratitude to the Head of State and to First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for comprehensive state care, and also thanked the valiant Azerbaijani army for the liberation of their lands from occupation, wishing peace to the souls of the martyrs who gave their lives for this noble cause.
