Iran fires back at France for accusations of Tehran's weapon supply to Russia
Iran has fired back at France, calling Paris to abandon its policy of accusations and acknowledge its responsibility and mistakes regarding regional and international peace and security.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei made this statement in response to remarks by French officials regarding Russia's use of Iranian weapons in the war with Ukraine, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
Baghaei stated that Iran maintains a principled stance against war and supports resolving the conflict through dialogue between the parties and emphasized that Iran does not supply weapons to Russia for use in Ukraine, calling such claims baseless.
"This reflects the persistence of French authorities in shifting blame and their lack of seriousness in restoring peace and stability in Europe and the world. France must abandon its blame-seeking policy, acknowledge its responsibility and mistakes in matters of regional and international peace and security, and work towards correcting them," he said.
