Iran willing to sell missiles, drones for self-defence, says General Rezaei
Iran has affirmed its willingness to supply missiles and drones to any country around the world, but with the condition that these weapons will only be used for defence against external threats.
General Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of the Supreme Economic Coordination Council, former head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and a prominent figure in Iran's political and military landscape, made the announcement during a forum focused on the aviation industry, Caliber.Az reports citing Russian media.
"We are ready to sell missiles, drones, and weapons to any country in the world, especially Arab and Islamic countries, but only on the condition that they are used to defend against external aggression. We are ready to sell our weapons so that nations can defend themselves," Rezaei stated.
Rezaei also reflected on Iran's experience during the Iran-Iraq War, recalling how foreign countries, with whom Iran had military contracts, severed ties after the conflict broke out in 1980. Despite facing sanctions and a lack of external support, Iran has made significant advancements in its military capabilities, Rezaei noted.
