Israel seeks to elevate ties with Kazakhstan, FM says in Astana
Israel is seeking to give a strong new impetus to its relations with Kazakhstan and raise bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level, Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Saar said during talks with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana.
Saar’s remarks came as part of an official visit aimed at expanding cooperation across trade, investment, science and technology. The two sides discussed the implementation of joint projects in artificial intelligence, agriculture and water management, highlighting shared priorities in innovation and sustainable development, Caliber.Az reports via Kazakh media.
President Tokayev noted that the visit underscored Israel’s firm commitment to strengthening comprehensive cooperation with Kazakhstan. He also welcomed the Kazakh-Israeli business forum held during the visit, expressing confidence that its outcomes would contribute practically to expanding bilateral investment ties.
Saar praised President Tokayev’s decision to join the Abraham Accords, describing it as a forward-looking step that contributes to regional stability, peace and international dialogue. He also commended Kazakhstan’s ongoing political and socio-economic reforms, voicing confidence in their successful implementation.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on key international and regional issues of mutual interest.
