JAXA stands for Azerbaijan to join Artemis moon landing programme
President of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) Yamakawa Hiroshi has said that Azerbaijan may join the Artemis programme, which is being implemented to conduct research on the Moon.
Hiroshi made these remarks at a press conference on the second day of the 74th International Astronautical Congress in Baku while answering Report journalist’s question.
“The Artemis project, in which 29 countries are participating, was launched to conduct research on the Moon. However, unfortunately, Azerbaijan is not one of these countries. We would like Azerbaijan to join this project too. As a JAXA representative, I can say that we have very good relations with Azercosmos, and we will be happy to further develop these relations and share experience with Azerbaijan,” he said.
