Kazakhstan denies reports on closure of border with Russia
The National Security Committee of Kazakhstan has denied the information about the closure of checkpoints on the border with Russia.
“In social networks and instant messengers, information is being disseminated about the alleged closure of checkpoints on the Kazakh-Russian border. We inform you that all Kazakh checkpoints are functioning normally,” Gazeta.Ru reports, citing the committee’s website.
The security committee added that there was no official information about the border closure.
On September 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilisation in the country, a corresponding decree was signed on the same day. According to the head of state, within the framework of partial mobilization, citizens from the reserve will be subject to conscription, primarily those who have experience.
