Media: Armenian National Security Service sows panic among people
Passengers have been informed at the metro stations in Armenia’s capital Yerevan to be attentive at the stations and in the railcars.
“If passengers notice suspicious objects, they should contact a metro station attendant or a locomotive driver,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Yerevan’s Hraparak newspaper.
According to the message, this is a consequence of the recently disseminated false information about bombs.
“The National Security Service, instead of finding and punishing those making fake phone calls, decided to sow additional panic among people by making false signals and spreading such statements,” the message said.
“The metro administration said that ‘the police department protecting the metro these days is intensively control the situation’, but we did not notice more police officers in the metro," the newspaper reports.
