MP: Armenia's state debt exceeds $12 billion

MP from the opposition Armenia bloc Artur Khachatryan has said that Armenia's state debt has exceeded $12 billion.

"Well, dear compatriots, as a result of the government's tireless and national-saving activities, the public debt of the Republic of Armenia has exceeded the $12 billion mark as of June 1,” Khachatryan wrote on his Facebook page, Caliber.Az reports.

“And if we try to divide this figure by the number of the population, the share of each of us in the state debt will be more than 4 thousand dollars. Remember these figures the next time they try to impress you with crumbling asphalt," Khachatryan said.
