Nakhchivan moves forward with plans to export electricity to Türkiye
Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is making progress on initiatives to export electricity to Türkiye, Tural Murtuzaliyev, Deputy Head of the State Energy Service of the republic, said.
Murtuzaliyev highlighted that meetings have been held between representatives from Türkiye's relevant authorities and a working group established following an order from the Azerbaijani Minister of Energy on August 3, 2021, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
These discussions aim to explore the feasibility of electricity exchange between Nakhchivan and Türkiye.
The meetings covered several crucial topics, including the current condition of transmission and distribution substations, transmission lines on both sides, meter installation points, the application of relay protection systems, and necessary documentation for establishing an “Operating Agreement” between Türkiye Elektrik İletim Anonim Şirketi (TEİAŞ) and the Energy Export (Exchange) Service.
