Russia completes first stage of Partizan UAV flight testing
16 February 2024 15:37
The Partizan heavy transport unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has completed the first stage of flight testing.
“The UAV made the first flight on the territory of the Siberian Aeronautical Research Institute named after S.A. Chaplygin on February 16,” the Russian Advanced Research Foundation told Gazeta.Ru.
The flight lasted 20 minutes at an altitude of 200 metres at speeds from 50 to 200 km/h.
The first manned flight was made to ensure safety and collect data for the automatic control system training.
As a result, a universal automatic aircraft with the possibility of optional piloting should be created.
