Russia not exporting Lancet drones as domestic demand high

Rosoboronexport CEO Alexander Mikheev has said that foreign customers are showing interest in the Russian kamikaze drone Lancet.

However, the drone is not supplied abroad, including due to the high need for it by the Russian armed forces, Mikheev said at the Dubai Airshow 2023 aerospace exhibition, TASS reports.

The Lancet is an attack unmanned aerial vehicle from the Russian arms concern Kalashnikov, capable of reconnaissance and attacking a target under the control of an operator. Introduced in June 2019.

The Lancets are available in two versions: the lightweight Lancet-1 drone and the heavy Lancet-3 drone. Both modifications use an electric motor and protection from laser weapons. The maximum speed of drones can reach 300 km/h.
