Serbian delegation explores Azerbaijan’s military institutions during official visit PHOTO / VIDEO
A delegation from the University of Defense of the Republic of Serbia, led by Colonel Srdjan Ljubojević, Vice-Rector for International Military and Inter-University Cooperation, has completed an official visit to several key military institutions in Azerbaijan.
The trip included visits to the National Defense University, the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev, and the Military Lyceum named after Jamshid Nakhchivanski, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.
During the delegation's meeting at the National Defense University, Major General Arif Hasanov, Deputy Rector for Science and Rector of the Military Scientific Research Institute, expressed his pleasure in hosting the Serbian representatives.
He highlighted the strong and ongoing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia in the field of military education, underscoring the importance of mutual exchanges of knowledge and expertise between the two countries.
Following the meeting, the Serbian delegation was given an in-depth briefing on the history, educational structure, and goals of the National Defense University. The discussions also focused on enhancing future collaboration and the potential for deeper engagement in military education between Azerbaijan and Serbia. Afterward, the Serbian visitors toured the Military History Museum of Azerbaijan, where they were introduced to the rich military history of the country.
The museum's exhibits provided insight into Azerbaijan's military traditions and pivotal moments from various periods in the nation's history. On the second day of their visit, the Serbian delegation visited the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev and the Military Lyceum named after Jamshid Nakhchivanski.
The delegation explored the Heydar Aliyev Museum, which features a comprehensive photo exhibit on the life and political legacy of the national leader. They were also briefed on the history, current activities, and future goals of both institutions, followed by a Q&A session where the Serbian delegation raised questions of mutual interest.
