Small family businesses established in Azerbaijan's liberated territories
As part of ongoing efforts to support local communities in Azerbaijan's recently liberated territories, the State Employment Agency has launched a new initiative aimed at promoting self-employment and small business development.
Residents from four districts – Agdam, Aghdara, Fuzuli, and Kalbajar– have received financial support to establish small family-run businesses, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Among the sectors receiving support are "Small Sewing Workshops," "Women's Beauty Salons," "Printing Services," and "Combi-Master and Plumber Services."
The initiative has provided essential resources to enable local families to create businesses in these areas, contributing to both economic growth and community revitalisation in the region.
To date, more than 600 residents who have returned to their homes as part of Azerbaijan's "Great Return" programme have successfully established their own small businesses with the assistance of the self-employment programme. The initiative is part of a broader effort to promote economic recovery and sustainable development in the liberated territories.
