SOCAR, KazMunayGas discuss cooperation on trans-Caspian infrastructure dev’t PHOTO
Chairman of the Board of JSC NC KazMunayGas (KMG) Magzum Mirzagaliyev has met with President of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovshan Najaf.
During the meeting held on August 15 in Baku, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, including the interaction between companies in the development of trans-Caspian infrastructure, Trend reports citing KMG.
On August 16, Mirzagaliev visited the city of Batumi in Georgia, where he inspected the operation of the Batumi oil terminal and the Batumi seaport.
The assets of the Batumi Oil Terminal (BOT) were acquired in 2008 by a subsidiary of KMG, KazTransOil JSC. The Batumi terminal has the right to manage the Batumi seaport until 2055. The profit of the BNT group of companies for 2021 amounted to almost 2.5 billion tenges ($5.24 million).
The terminal provides services for the transhipment of oil and petrochemical products, including unloading, accumulation and loading onto a tanker, to customers from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Georgia and other countries. The port provides transhipment, storage and warehousing services for dry, bulk and general cargo, as well as servicing ships and other vehicles.
