Three years pass since Azerbaijan’s military helicopter crash in Garaheybat
Three years have passed since the tragic crash of a military helicopter of the State Border Guard Service crashed at the Garaheybat aviation range located in the Khizi region while performing training flights.
As a result of the crash of the military helicopter in 2021, 14 people were killed, and 2 more were injured, Caliber.Az reports.
The Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case under Article 352.2 (Violation of rules of flight or preparation for flight, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence) and other articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The investigation of the criminal case was taken under special control by the Prosecutor General.
During the disaster, Colonel Fuzuli Ali Ibram oglu Javadov, Lieutenant Colonel Emil Nazir oghlu Nazirov, Major Elmir Mirjalil oghlu Hasanov, Major Elbrus Samraddin oghlu Ahmadov, Major Emil Shahid oghlu Mayilov, Major Murad Yashar oghlu Mammadov, Major Emil Elman oghlu Aliyev, Captain of the Medical Service Jeyhun Khanlar oghlu Ahmadkhanov, captain Javid Ahliman oghlu Bayramli, captain Khayyam Alikhan oghlu Aliyev, captain Teymur Anvar oghlu Garaisaev, lieutenant Abdulla Telman oghlu Suleymanov, senior lieutenant Farid Tayyar oghlu Nagiyev and reserve colonel Elchin Fikrat oghlu Nabiyev died.
