TRNC President Ersin Tatar to visit Azerbaijan ahead of Turkic states summit
President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ersin Tatar, is scheduled to visit Azerbaijan on July 4, Caliber.Az reports referring to local media.
This visit precedes an informal summit initiated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Shusha on July 5-6, gathering leaders from member states of the Organisation of Turkic States. Participating countries include Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, alongside observer countries and Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliyev.
Under the theme "Building a Sustainable Future through Transport Links and Combating Climate Change," the summit aims to facilitate high-level discussions on critical issues and the organization's agenda. It is anticipated that the summit will conclude with the signing of the Karabakh Declaration and several other significant documents.
Ahead of the summit, a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OTS will convene in Shusha to finalize agenda items and the documents slated for signing by the leaders.
