Two Azerbaijani border guards die following lightning strike

Two servicemen of the State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan have died as a result of a lightning strike.

On June 9, Major Bakhishli Bakhish Elshan oglu and soldier Nagiyev Ali Elshan oglu died as a result of a lightning strike while performing official duties on protection of the state border in the service territory of the Lankaran border detachment of the Border Troops of the State Border Service, Caliber.Az reports, citing the SBS press service.

The investigation is underway.

The leadership of the State Border Service expresses deep condolences to the families and relatives of the deceased servicemen.
