Kazakhstan denies sale of military airplanes to Ukraine
28 April 2024 14:26
Kazakhstan's state-owned enterprise Kazspetsexport has denied selling military airplanes to Ukraine.
The corresponding message was published on the company's website, according to Caliber.Az.
"Kazspetseksport" commented on the information about the purchase of 117 decommissioned Soviet fighters and bombers by a private person in Kazakhstan for transfer to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The company called the information inaccurate and emphasized that foreign companies were not allowed to bid.
"All the planes will be utilized by methods that exclude their restoration to their original condition and will be exported only as non-ferrous metal scrap," the company said.
