Ankara welcomes Italian Prime Minister
On July 5, Ankara hosted an official welcoming ceremony for Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, who arrived on a visit to Turkey.
The Turkish head of state met the Italian prime minister at the entrance to the Presidential Complex, Anadolu Agency reported.
A total of 16 flags were hung at the Presidential Complex - according to the number of Turkic countries that have existed throughout history.
Representatives of the Turkish state and government were introduced to the Prime Minister of Italy, and members of the Italian delegation were introduced to the President of Türkiye.
Further negotiations started in a one-on-one format and in an expanded format.
It is planned to sign a number of documents in the presence of the leaders of the two countries.
Then there will be a joint press conference.
